How to use Lush gift cards
Lush gift cards work three ways: online at lush.com, in Lush retail shops, and over the phone at 1-888-733-5874. Online, enter the card number and the PIN at checkout. Both come with your Card Depot order. In a shop, show the number and PIN to the sales assistant. One thing to plan around: Lush states that a gift card cannot be combined with a PayPal payment. Allow up to an hour before you spend it
Lush activates gift cards after purchase, and states this can take up to an hour. Personalised cards can take longer. That is worth knowing if you are buying with a specific order already in your basket, because the card will not work until activation completes. Practical version: buy it before you need it, not while you are standing at checkout.
Paying part of an order with the card
Lush handles this the sensible way. Purchases are deducted from the gift card balance up to the balance, and anything left on the card stays there for a future order. If the order comes to more than the card holds, you pay the rest with another payment method. So you do not have to match the card to the order. A balance smaller than your basket works fine, and a balance larger than your basket leaves the remainder for next time.
Why a discount works on Lush
Lush is a repeat purchase in a way that most beauty retail is not. Bath bombs, shampoo bars, shower gels and skincare get used up and replaced on a rhythm, and the basket sizes are modest but frequent. One known quirk worth flagging: Lush notes on their own help pages that a gift card balance can appear to reset to zero if you leave checkout partway through. Do I need the PIN?
Yes. Lush asks for the card number and the PIN, for online checkout and for balance lookups. Your Card Depot order includes both.
Can I pay with a gift card and PayPal together?
No. Lush states that gift card redemption cannot be combined with a PayPal payment. Use a credit or debit card for the remainder instead.
What if my order costs more than the card?
You pay the difference with another payment method. Lush deducts up to the card balance and charges the rest.
Can I use a Lush gift card to buy another gift card?
No. Lush excludes gift card purchases.
Is it redeemable for cash?

What if I lose the card details?
Lush states they are not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards, so keep the number and PIN somewhere you can find them. Leaving them in your Card Depot account is the simplest option.
